1891   Early American stage comedienne and singer Fanny Borach born. As Fanny Brice she performed in the Ziegfeld Follies in the teens and 20s, was a big hit on radio in the 40s as Baby Snooks, and was the model for the character in the Broadway musical and Hollywood film, Funny Girl.
