1917   Country legend Merle Travis born in Rosewood, KY. Merle was a top performer and songwriter, his biggest sellers being, "16 Tons", "Divorce Me C.O.D", and the classic, "Smoke! Smoke! Smoke! That Cigarette."
1933   John Mayall born in Manchester, (some say Cheshire) England. John went from barman to Bluesbreaker, the band a training ground for just too many major artist in Britain in the 60s.
