1945 Guitar hero Robin Trower born in London.
1948 Singer-songwriter-drummer Jeffrey Osborne born in Providence, RI. Singer/songwriter/drummer. Joined LTD as drummer in 1970 when they were backup band for Sam & Dave. Later, band backed up singer Merry Clayton. Encouraged by group to sing lead vocals. Solo in 1980.
1949 Trevor Burton of the Move born in the Acton, UK.

1985 The first shipment of supplies purchased by Band Aid, a rock charity concert and recording movement for famine relief, are sent to Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.
