Rick Nelson, the singer who grew up on television in his father Ozzie's show, "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet", is killed in a plane crash in Texas. He was 45. Also killed in the crash were his fiancˇe Helen Blair and five members of his Stone Canyon Band. It was suspected that the crash was caused by a torch being used to freebase cocaine in the plane's cabin.
