Dinah began as a Gospel singer, performed with Lionel Hampton in the 40s, and as a solo artist had hits with "Baby Get Lost", "What A Difference A Day Makes" and "Soulville". One of my faves is, "TV Is the Thing This Year." |

Guitarist George Harrison joins the Quarrymen, a band featuring local musicians Paul McCartney and John Lennon, and performs at the opening of The Casbah Club in Heyman's Green, Liverpool. The club is owned by Quarryman drummer Pete Best's mom. |
