"The Definitive History of Women in Rock, Pop + Soul" - let's just
settle for a good beginning. Some chapters deal with eras, other with
issues and two chapters with world music female artists. An improvement
over an earlier survey, Rock-A-Bye, Baby (Aida Pavletich,
Doubleday, 1980). Also look around for the OP Girl Groups
(Delilah, 1982) by Alan Betrock.
