Why not intern at the ARChive!

Interns help manage the growing collection and the daily activities of the ARChive. It's fun and interns gain knowledge of archival procedures, the music industry, and contemporary popular music.

Duties are the same for all workers at the ARChive: sorting and filing of materials; assistance with cataloging and data entry; updating of mailing lists; overseeing new acquisitions; and general research assistance. If you're clever you can organize your own special project. We also have some on-line projects you can work on, like entering data for the Today In Rock History area of our website. Everything is done on Macs.

We are open year-round and you may begin at any time. You must be able to work in four hour blocks, at least 8 hrs. per week. Only two folks can work per day, so the first folks to arrange a schedule actually get the schedule they want.

All intern positions are unpaid, although college credit may be arranged. We'll pay local travel (bus/subway) costs. All of this depends on if we like you and you like us!

Places are limited, so if your REALLY interested:
     * please give us a call or e-mail us
     * schedule a time to come by and visit if possible
     * tell us the hours/days you'd like to work
     * send us your resume -- drop off/ mail/fax/e-mail

Too old or wise to be an intern?
You can always volunteer.

For further information, please do not hesitate to call/fax/e-mail.
