Our Board of Trustees

This is the working board of the ARChive of Contemporary Music. B. George is the Director of the ARChive and President of the Board of Trustees.

Goran Andersson - Paris Office
Goran has over 25 years experience in the international music, marketing, media and entertainment business, including record production, international consultation for foreign and domestic entertainment and media companies handling the marketing and licensing of sound recordings, film, radio and television projects. Goran has a long history of promoting and developing arts organizations, beginning with BILDCIRCUS in 1976, Scandinavia's largest multi-media arts extravaganza, and more recently co-founding St. Petersburg Classics, a non-profit arts foundation in St. Petersburg, Russia. Born in Sweden, Goran moved to New York in 1983. He has offices in New York, Paris and Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Alan J. Bernstein - Secretary
Alan is a corporate lawyer in the Wall Street firm of Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP. His practice concentrates on transactions for technology companies, advising companies from the early stages of start-up through going public and thereafter. Alan has substantial experience in representing companies in venture capital financings, private placements and public offerings. He has worked on numerous mergers and acquisitions and also helped companies grow through strategic alliances and licensing transactions. Alan is a champion of community development economics, and work pro bono for the Community Development Venture Capital Alliance and the Global Social Venture Competition. Alan received his B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University and his J.D. from Boalt Hall School of Law, U.C. Berkeley.

Andrew S. Cohen
Andy is a Principal of Apollo Real Estate Advisors, a real estate investment firm based in New York City. Prior to joining Apollo in 1996 Mr. Cohen was a Senior Vice President with Park Tower Realty Corporation, a New York-based real estate developer. Mr. Cohen received a BA from Brown University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Mr. CohenŐs most recent project was the Time-Warner Building at Columbus Circle.

Brian Cullman
Brian is a native New Yorker who has written about music for Crawdaddy, Creem, Rolling Stone, Details, The New York Times, The Village Voice, Antaeus and many other publications. He is a three-time recipient of the Ascap/Deems Taylor Award for excellence in music journalism. He has recorded with such artists as Mark Knopfler, Vernon Reid, Linda Thompson, Robert Quine and John Scofield and has produced Lucinda Williams, Ghazal, Sussan Deyhim, among others. In the 1990's, his weekly radio show on cross cultural musics, Bug Radio, appeared on over 450 stations around the world.

David Diamond
David is the President of Emerging Businesses and Chief Vision Officer for Catalina Marketing, as well as overseeing their internet division, SuperMarkets Online. He has worked as a consultant, manager and owner of various food-related marketing companies for over 16 years and was President and CEO of Lamaze Publishing Company, a publisher of magazines and videos for new and expecting parents. David earned his BA from Carleton College and his MBA in finance from Columbia University. A patron of the arts and a theater buff, David is brother to Beastie Boy, Mike D.

Adam Dolgins
Adam is a Partner in Fractured Hip Productions, a television production company. Recent projects include the VH1 hidden camera series "Sledgehammer" and the TV ad campaign for Eminem's new album. Previously, he created and produced several VH1 series, including "Rock of Ages" and "Rock Candy." He began his career at SPY magazine and is the author of three editions of the book Rock Names: From ABBA to ZZ Top, How Rock Bands Got Their Names.

Amy Larkin - Chairman of the Board
Amy Larkin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, is a producer and entrepreneur who has successfully combined her cultural and commercial interests. Amy has launched arts programs (NYC's Cathedral of St. John the Divine in the late 70's), theaters and festivals (Seattle's On The Boards and Performa '87), corporate cultural institutions (Fabrica, Benetton's Institute of Arts and Communications in the Veneto, Italy in the 90's), and civic initiatives (Lower Manhattan Cultural Council's Real Estate Initiative in 2003). In 1986, she co-founded Message!Check Corp., (one of the first affinity marketing companies) for which she won the City of Seattle Small Business of the Year Award in 1989. Amy serves a variety of clients through her consulting firm, Unleashed, Inc. For the past 25 years, Amy has remained active with Greenpeace as a Board member and/or adviser. In 2005, Amy is leading the Strategic Plan Initiative for the Council on the Environment of the City of New York (Mayor's Office).

Bruce Rayvid - Treasurer
Bruce Rayvid is a Producer, Special Events Manager and Strategic Planning Consultant with twenty-five years experience in developing and driving fast-paced, cutting edge, image oriented communications companies and events. He was the Founding Producer of 7th on Sixth, the American Fashion Collections in Bryant Park. His diverse work experience includes roles as: Director of Operations for The Howl Festival, Line Producer for NPRŐs annual program, ÔThe Infinite MindŐ at Radio City Music Hall, Launch Director for boo.com, Production Manager for The Council of Fashion Designers of America and Vice-President of ExhibitGroup. Bruce presently serves as a board member for Arts at St. Anns, The Wooster Group and as President of 285 Lafayette Street Condominiums.

Gregory Shatan
Greg is a Partner in the New York office of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, where he is a member of the Intellectual Property Practice. Greg focuses on copyright, trademark, software, Internet and licensing matters for media, entertainment, consumer products and financial services companies. He received his J.D. from Columbia Law School and his B.A. (Music and Sociology/Psychology) from Wesleyan University. The first record he bought was "War"/"He Who Picks A Rose" by Edwin Starr (Gordy, 1970).
