Our Director
Bob George is the director of the ARChive of Contemporary Music and president of
the Board of Directors. The initial collection of 47,000 discs that began the ARChive's collection
came from his personal collection.

Head Archivist
Our current Head Archivist is Fred D. Patterson. Fred has worked at many and
varied jobs in the music industry, including six years with the publishing company Warner/Chappell
Music, Inc. and more recently at MJI Broadcasting, both in New York City. Before that he was
assistant manager and buyer at Rhino Records Store in Los Angeles, then manager of their store in
Albany, NY. Fred still consults on recording projects for many labels, including MCA,
Silvertone/Zomba, Birdman, Rhino, Island and Chronicles/Universal. Weekend you can find him
DJÍing at the Subway Soul Club in Manhattan and hosting Wang Dang Doodle happenings. He has DJ'd
at MaxwellÍs, The Warsaw, Village Underground, and at Lincoln Center Out of Door. Fred has
published Essays in Rolling Stone's Alt-Rock-A-Rama. (Rolling Stone Press, 1996) and
Make The Music Go Bang: The Early L.A. Punk Scene. (St. Martins Press, 1997). Writings
have also appeared in tippsmusic.com, salon.com, rocksbackpages.com, Discoveries, L.A. Weekly,
N.Y. Rocker, Rock Scene, Billboard, Contrast, Wax Paper, Slash Magazine and Back Door Man.
Fred has also found the time to pen album liner notes for notable reissues by favorite R&B
artists, such as Howard Tate and Darrell Banks.

Amy Larkin is Chairman of the Board. Goran Andersson is based in Paris, France,
working to create a second location for the ARC.
